Concordia University, St. Paul’s Security Department is committed to providing a safe campus environment for our students, faculty, staff, and visitors 24/7, 365. Trained officers provide response to emergency and non-emergency calls, patrol campus, offer a safety escort service, and enforce parking rules.
Parking On Campus
Parking Permit Registration
Register your vehicle either in person or online. For online registration, gather the following details and click the link below. After completing registration, visit the Security Office with a photo ID to collect your permit:
- Name, phone number, and address
- Student or faculty/staff ID number
- Vehicle make, model, VIN, and license plate

Yes, all students are required to renew their parking permit annually. Staff and faculty are not required to renew their permits.

Students can park in any of the six campus lots or surrounding street parking spaces. Lots A and B are the only two lots reserved for staff and faculty only.

We encourage everyone to sign up via email or text to receive Saint Paul Snow Emergency alerts (available in English, Spanish, Hmong, and Somali). Special parking rules go into effect during this time.

Student ID Form
Once you are admitted to CSP, please use the form below to submit your ID photo and information to have your student ID printed.
You must be logged in to your CSP email to access the form.

University identification cards are issued to each student, staff, and faculty member when they begin their time at Concordia. This card serves as your official ID when on campus. You may be asked to show it to prove your ID in various offices on campus. Additionally, the card has your student or staff identification number (L#) on the back.
ID Card Provides Access To:

- Flex points in the dining hall
- University events
- Access to buildings and rooms on campus

- You must be looking straight at the camera, against a light-colored, and solid background.
- Photos cannot include: hats or sunglasses, or derogatory subject matter. Photos should not be group photos or cropped down from a group photo.

New Traditional First-Year and Transfer Students
New students attending classes in person, or living on campus will receive their IDs either on move-in day or during CSP Orientation. Form submission is required to receive your ID.New PSEO Students
PSEO students can pick up their ID cards during the first week of classes.New CSP Global students:
Students taking courses on-campus at Concordia University, St. Paul will receive their ID’s at their program orientation or on their first day of class.All other new CSP Global students taking courses online and hybrid (low residency) will receive their ID via mail within their first semester.
New Staff and Faculty
New employees will receive their ID during their first week of employment and will notify supervisors or the employee once the ID card is ready.Faculty who teach fully remote will be able to have their IDs mailed to them.
Access and photo submission is requested from supervisors for new staff and faculty utilizing the Card and Key Request form. Please see above for photo requirements.

Damaged Cards
Damaged or worn out cards can be replaced at free of charge by stopping into the Card Services office.Contracted Faculty of Practice who may need evening availability – please email us at [email protected] so we can work with you directly.
Lost or Stolen Cards
Lost or stolen cards will be replaced for a charge of $10 and can be paid here. Please forward your receipt to [email protected] and pick up your card from Card Services in the Security Office afterward.Staff and faculty can have ID cards replaced for free.

Openpath Access
In addition to needing your CSP ID card, students may obtain access to “Openpath” allowing students to use their mobile device with the Openpath app to access spaces around campus.You can email [email protected] (ensure you provide your CSP email) to gain access.
Don’t want mobile credentials? For those who choose not to use their personal mobile devices, we can provide them with a proximity card. This option is only available for staff as of right now.
Additional Access on Campus
Students must have their professor or supervisor email [email protected] for access to academic needed areas or work-specific areas.Students living on campus: if it is an area within your residence hall building, email [email protected].
Safety Forms

The Security Department provides a safety escort service for students, faculty, staff, and university guests. This escort service has been established to act as a watch guard of personal safety while on campus or in the immediate neighborhood community. Escorts are designed to create a safer walking environment for individuals of the campus community. Escorts are given 24 hours a day and are performed by a uniformed Security Officer who is in radio contact with a dispatcher.

Silent Witness Report
This form is designed to allow individuals to report incidents they are aware of and remain anonymous if they so choose.

This form is designated to allow students to report issues and concerns that they are aware of pertaining to safety and security and remain anonymous if they so choose. By submitting the form below, the Director of Safety & Security will be made aware of your issues and concerns and will take immediate action.

Concordia’s annual security report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Concordia University, and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The report includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters. The report is published on October 1 for the previous year. Hard copies of this report are available in the Security Office, Meyer Hall 124.
Additionally, as the Clery Act requires, the Concordia University Security Department Maintains a Daily Crime Log. This log contains all crimes that are reported to the Security Department. The up-to-date crime log can be viewed in the Security office during regular business hours (Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.).
