What is RQI?
The American Heart Association’s Resuscitation Quality Improvement® (RQI) program is an innovative, self-directed learning platform designed to help healthcare providers and the community to maintain high-quality CPR skills. Unlike traditional certification courses, RQI offers ongoing, quarterly training modules and real-time feedback using simulation technology. This allows learners to practice and improve their CPR skills on a more frequent basis, ensuring competency retention and readiness to respond to cardiac emergencies. The program aims to enhance overall resuscitation outcomes by emphasizing continuous skill development and mastery through hands-on practice and cognitive learning.
RQI Students will have the opportunity to do the self-directed online learning and then come to the College of Nursing RQI Skills Station to complete skills.
