Quality Science

Minor

Overview

The Quality Science minor at CSP focuses on the regulatory and quality issues of life science industries, with an emphasis on the pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotechnology fields. Within the program, students will learn how to discern and utilize relevant data to inform decisions on product design, development, and manufacturing. Students will receive an 'inside look' at critical aspects of the scientific industry, including regulations and regulatory bodies, risk analysis, scalability, stakeholder considerations, reproducibility, and product validation. Knowledge of these areas is not typically covered as part of a traditional science curriculum, therefore students with this minor will have unique skills to bring to industry jobs upon its completion.
