Graphic Designer at Guthrie Theater
Sierra Ross graduated from Concordia University, Saint Paul with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design in 2021. Using the skills she developed while she was a student at CSP, she now works as a graphic designer for the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis.
Ross appreciated the diversity of CSP’s student body as well as the convenience she found in the small size and location of CSP’s campus. “After starting to research the school I quickly realized how many boxes it checked for me, being drawn in particular to the smaller class sizes and the tight-knit community within CSP as well as its diversity and location in the Twin Cities.”
Ross valued her experience as a commuter student. She felt that she was an equal part of CSP’s close-knit campus community while having the benefit of living at home. “The flexibility of living at home while being equally plugged into communities on campus made my experience at CSP personalized to my needs.”
Additionally, Ross emphasized the quality preparation for her career and life as a whole that faculty provided her during her time at CSP. “Each faculty member in both the arts and theatre departments as well as the Honors program I was a part of pushed me to new perspectives and shaped the way I now not only view my career, but also the world around me.”
