Doctor of Physical Therapy Program Director of Clinical Education, Assistant Professor
Dr. Linsey Hamilton joined the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program full-time in 2022 after serving the program for 4 years as an adjunct instructor. Her path of study included a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Hamline University in 2002 followed by Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Minnesota in 2006. She became board-certified in Sports Physical Therapy in 2013 and in Orthopedic Manual Therapy in 2023. Dr. Hamilton is currently pursuing a Doctor of Science degree at Andrews University.
Dr. Hamilton teaches musculoskeletal content in the DPT program, including Surface Anatomy, Functional Anatomy, and Musculoskeletal I-III. She also teaches in the Clinical Skills and Clinical Skills Assessment sequences.
Dr. Hamilton maintains an orthopedic clinical practice at Allina Health Orthopedics in Minneapolis. She has research interests in both shoulder biomechanics as well as teaching and learning.

Dr. Hamilton has served the Minnesota Physical Therapy Association as a Director and as Secretary. She is also an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. In addition to PT, Dr. Hamilton enjoys mountain biking, pottery, power tools, and walking her dogs.
