Katie Wenger

Katie Wenger graduated from CSP in 2021 with her degree in Christian Ministries, minors in Nonprofit Management & Lutheran Theology, and a Director of Christian Outreach certificate. Wenger has used her education and skills to excel in her role as Director of Youth and Family Outreach at Redeemer Lutheran Church and School in Stuart, Florida.

Wenger plays a collaborative role at Redeemer Lutheran Church, where she works with other staff members and teachers to provide resources and opportunities for church members to be connected to each other and to their faith. “Much of my experiences at CSP were collaborative in and outside of the classroom. The practical experiences in teamwork prepared me to work with people in a variety of ways. The intellectual knowledge gained was tremendous as well, and the two skills together have helped me thrive in my first role after college.”

Thoughtfully constructed academic programs and outstanding faculty help CSP stand out from the rest. Wenger found that the caring faculty and staff, along with the invaluable student resources available, helped her succeed academically and as an individual.

The classroom wasn’t the only beneficial part of Wenger’s experience at CSP. She also spent time as a student worker in CSP’s career development office, where she had the opportunity for one-on-one career mentorship. Wegner was able to sharpen her job skills and recognize her strengths and areas for growth in the workforce.

For Wenger, CSP offered her both career readiness and close relationships with her peers that will last a lifetime. “CSP is a wonderful place to grow academically and personally. Take the time to get to know your professors, staff members, and other students. The connections that you make will stay with you for a lifetime.”
