Owner of Stokeshire
James Stokes earned his bachelor’s in Organizational Management and Leadership from Concordia University, St. Paul in 2012. Stokes owns his own business, Stokeshire, where he breeds therapy-grade dogs and provides adequate training to prepare the dogs for therapeutic services.
Stokes felt that CSP’s small community would offer him the support he wanted throughout his academic experience. “I was drawn to the supportive community and the faculty’s commitment to fostering a collaborative learning environment. Additionally, the university’s values resonate with my own, emphasizing service, integrity, and a faith-based approach to leadership, which I believe are essential for making a positive impact in the world.”
As someone who has worn many hats and explored many careers, Stokes values the preparation and education from CSP that helped him succeed as an entrepreneur. “My degree provided me with a strong foundation in strategic thinking, effective communication, and team dynamics…my education from CSP has been instrumental in fostering my entrepreneurial journey and enabling me to thrive in various roles.”
Stokes notes how valuable CSP’s foundation of faith was for him as a student. “I would highly recommend Concordia University, St. Paul, to anyone looking to grow in their faith while pursuing their education. The university fosters a supportive and values-driven environment that encourages students to integrate their beliefs with their academic pursuits…The opportunity to connect with faculty and fellow students who prioritize their faith adds a meaningful dimension to the learning experience. CSP not only equips students with essential skills for their careers but also nurtures spiritual growth.”
