Provost & Chief Operating Officer
Dr. Eric LaMott is Provost and Chief Operating Officer for Concordia University, St. Paul (CSP). With more than two decades of experience in senior management roles at CSP, Dr. LaMott has held several key roles across the organization and has been instrumental in shaping CSP’s long-term growth.
Dr. LaMott was instrumental in CSP’s landmark “Tuition Reset” project of 2013, which was one of the nation’s most innovative reboots of tuition modeling. Since adopting a dramatic 33% reduction in tuition for traditional student programs, CSP has seen traditional undergraduate enrollment increase by more than 40% and overall enrollment (including non-traditional and graduate programs) by approximately 75%.
The modeling done to devise the Tuition Reset allowed CSP to increase revenue significantly, which allowed further investment in academic programs, infrastructure, staffing, and other elements to transform program delivery and academic experiences for all students.
As Chief Operating Officer, Dr. LaMott oversees all university operations with an annual budget of approximately $44 million.
Originally the VP of Information & Technology, Dr. LaMott continues to guide all aspects of technology infusion across all CSP departments. He also specializes in strategic planning and implementation, admissions, financial aid, marketing, union negotiation, facility management, construction oversight, and financial stewardship for all CSP stakeholders.
Dr. LaMott holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Boise State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Boise State.
