Dental Student at the University of Minnesota
“The science professors truly care about all of their students’ success and they do everything in their power to help us achieve our goals."
Adam Hildebrandt is a Maplewood, Minn. native who will graduate with his Bachelor of Science in biology in spring 2018. One of his favorite aspects of being a part of CSP’s science department is how connected the group is.
“The science professors truly care about all of their students’ success and they do everything in their power to help us achieve our goals,” Hildebrandt explained. Small classes have offered one-on-one interaction that has allowed Hildebrandt to develop relationships with his peers and professors. Those relationships have helped him through the next steps of his education and career endeavors.
Hildebrandt serves as president of Tetra Delta, CSP’s science club, has worked as a lab assistant, has been the campus ambassador for Be the Match organization for three years, and is currently a Resident Advisor (RA) in Holst Hall.
In addition to his academic pursuit, Adam is a student-athlete representing CSP’s baseball team and has been involved in the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) for three years.
“The extracurriculars offered at Concordia are diverse, impactful, and can propel you into your chosen career path upon graduation,” he reflected.
After graduation, Hildebrandt will gear up for the four-year doctorate dental program at the University of Minnesota. In addition to the many ways that his Concordia experience has shaped him, he plans to pocket a piece of advice given to him after he received a ‘D’ on his first college exam.
“You get out what you put in. This applies to everything in life and I have lived my life by putting 110% into everything. It has made a huge impact on me personally and has helped me to get where I am today.”
