CSP COVID PROTOCOLS & MITIGATION EFFORTS – OCT. 7 UPDATE

event

COVID-19 Information & Resources, University News

As promised, CSP is providing regular updates on COVID-19 response and mitigation initiatives on campus.

On September 23rd, we announced a slight easing of mask requirements on our St. Paul campus. For the time being, we will continue following those eased protocols, which took effect on Saturday, September 25th:

  • Mask usage is still required in common areas indoors and in classrooms for those who are not vaccinated.
  • Mask usage is strongly encouraged for everyone who is vaccinated.

The CSP community continues to do a remarkable job maintaining a safe environment on campus. In addition, CSP’s data-driven decisions regarding COVID protocols continue to keep our university on a much better footing in comparison to the broader community.

Currently, we have no active COVID cases among faculty and staff on the St. Paul campus, and there are under five identified active cases among the student population. Those affected immediately followed our standard quarantine protocols to minimize potential spread.

Our success in minimizing the impact of COVID at CSP is due, in large part, to the exceptionally high vaccination rates across all campus populations. We appreciate everyone’s diligence to take smart steps to protect themselves and their fellow CSP community members.

For our Portland on-site nursing students, faculty and staff are masking indoors and meeting vaccination standards in compliance with the local requirements.

CSP continues to monitor essential data relating to incidents of COVID on campus, vaccination rates on campus, and variables in the broader community. As such, we will continue to provide updates as needed in the weeks ahead as we make adjustments based on the data we follow.

As always, we encourage everyone to follow Comet’s Commitment each and every day.
