Theatre and Dance presents "Disturbed by the Wind", March 28-30

Concordia’s Department of Theatre and Dance presents “Disturbed by the Wind“, a historical drama that follows the story of the Wright brothers from inspiration to the first in 1903. More than just the discovery of powered flight, David Schulner’s play shows the personal struggles Orville and Wilbur had to endure and overcome. The play also follows the story of the Wright brother’s predecessor, Otto Lilienthal.

Both stories deal with obsession, inspiration, dedication and, most importantly sacrifice. Otto’s dying words: “Sacrifices must be made,” rings true as we see the worlds of these three men fall apart and then become rebuilt with immortality in the skies.

The play shows March 28-29 at 7:30 p.m. and March 30 at 2 p.m., in the Westlund Blackbox Theatre. Admission is free.
