The Department of Art at Concordia University, St. Paul is hosting the 2012 High School Honors Exhibition May 10-23 at the Concordia Gallery. In its ninth year, the annual event is showcasing work by students from Concordia Academy, Minneapolis South High School, Northfield High School and Woodbury High School.
Members of Concordia’s art faculty select which schools participate in the show on a rotating basis. Each school is asked to submit eight to ten pieces from their top juniors for inclusion to the exhibition.
Faculty will present awards to the top works at the exhibition’s opening reception Thursday, May 10 from 5-7 p.m., at the Concordia Gallery.
The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is open to the public. The Concordia Gallery is located in Concordia Art Center at 1301 Marshall Avenue.
