Critical issues within the faith community will be discussed at the 2012 Faith Community, Crime and Safety Symposium April 27 at Concordia University, St. Paul.
The day-long symposium will feature Dr. Dan Carlson, a former police chief and current chaplain for the the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association, Senator John Harrington, a retired St. Paul Chief of Police and local attorney Dwight Rabuse of the Rabuse Law Firm.
The speakers will cover various crisis faith communities and their members may experience, take a look at how faith community leaders and members would handle crisis management and explore legal ramifications in the areas of hiring practices, duty to report and whistle blowing.
