Golden Bear Volleyball Wins Fifth Straight NCAA Regional Championship

Concordia’s volleyball team claimed the NCAA Division II Central Region Championship for the fifth straight year on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, and has moved on to the final field of eight teams.   This is also the team’s seventh Regional Championship in the last nine years.  The Golden Bears have brought Concordia into the national spotlight by winning the last four consecutive NCAA Championships.  They continue their bid for a record fifth straight on Dec. 1, taking on Central Missouri State.  The team is 31-2 on the year and will face a field of familiar foes in the Elite Eight, including undefeated Cal State San Bernardino and Tampa.  Concordia has not lost a single postseason match since 2006.
