The Department of Art at Concordia University, St. Paul is hosting the 2013 High School Honors Exhibition May 8-22 at the Concordia Gallery. In its 10th year, the exhibit will feature work by students from Buffalo High School (Buffalo, Minn.), Concordia Academy (Roseville, Minn.), Hastings High School (Hastings, Minn.) and Minneapolis South High School.
Members of Concordia’s art faculty select which schools participate in the show on a rotating basis. Each school is asked to submit eight to ten pieces from their top juniors for inclusion to the exhibition.Faculty will present awards to the top works at the exhibition’s opening reception Thursday, May 8 from 5-7 p.m., at the Concordia Gallery.
The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is open to the public. The Concordia Gallery is located in Concordia Art Center at 1301 Marshall Avenue.
