Summer 2012, Concordia University, St. Paul Hmong Culture and Language Program host its ninth annual summer day camp program, for PK-12 students this year titled "Building Cultural Bridges." This camp runs for two weeks on the weekdays July 23-August 3, 2012, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and is located on the Concordia University, St. Paul campus provided in partnership with local school districts.
Students from more than 20 language groups attend this camp which involves the study of literacy, languages, craft making, guitar playing, dance, writing, Hmong and other cultural activities, gardening, tennis and other sports, nutrition, science, with opportunities to explore life on a university campus. Campers are organized in age specific groups facilitated by the student leaders.
