About Phillip Hampton
Phillip Hampton has been a member of Concordia's business faculty since 2005. Owner and CEO of BlackCreek Realty LLC (Minneapolis), Hampton is also a faculty member at Anoka Ramsey Community College.
Prior to his career in academics Hampton served a number of years in the finance sector, with positions at Metris Companies (manager of portfoli acquisitions), U.S. Bancorp (strategic analyst), Federal Reserve Bank (analyst) and Piper Jaffray (analyst).
Hampton is an active member of the Twin Cities community. He's currently a member of the Governor's Urban Initiative Board and serves on the board for FamilyWise, a non-profit that helps provide families access to quality, early childhood education. Hampton has also served as a mentor for the Infinity Group, has volunteered for the Minneapolis Spokesman Recorder and the for Lake Country Montessori, and has served as a board member for the Alchemy Theatre.
He earned his M.B.A., in International Management with a concentration in Finance and Economics from the University of St. Thomas in 1999. Hampton received his undergraduate degree (BA, Economics) from Clark Atlanta University (Atlanta, Ga.) in 1992.
