Music plays a large role in student life at Concordia, as an area of study and a mode of expression. The music curriculum includes courses in music theory and composition, history and literature, church music, music education, vocal and instrumental techniques, conducting, private lessons in voice, piano, organ, harpsichord, guitar and all band and orchestra instruments, plus a full range of ensembles. The faculty includes some of the finest artist-teachers in the Twin Cities.

Theatre studies at Concordia provides exciting and challenging educational experiences for students as well as high quality theatrical experiences for audiences. There is a rich blend of traditional classroom and hands on laboratory/performance opportunities that will prepare students for entry into professional careers in Theatre, graduate study in Theatre or to support and strengthen students in other fields such as education, business or ministry.

Concordia's Art Department has serious programs offered by fun-loving and caring faculty. We offer a student-centered approach to the visual arts. Our flexible programs range from traditional studio art and art education degrees, to digital design and photography careers, to public art activities. CSP wants its art students to be connected to their professors, to other students and to the professional art world in the Twin Cities and beyond.
