Concordia University, St. Paul is one of the 10 colleges and universities operated under the auspices of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, the second largest Lutheran church body in North America.
At Concordia University, we embrace our Lutheran heritage - it's at the heart of everything we do. Our mission is to prepare students for thoughtful and informed living, for dedicated service to God and humanity, and for the enlightened care of God's creation, all within the context of the Christian Gospel.
We encourage you to explore your faith, but understand that your spiritual path is uniquely personal. We're here to guide you on that journey according to your needs. Here you can joyfully share in the Good News of the Gospel and connect with others who are exploring their walk of faith.
We believe that God has called each of us to serve Him in a unique way. As the apostle Paul states, we are all one in the body of Christ and we are joined in serving God and others (Ephesians 4:11).
Serving the Church
Concordia serves the church and connects people to ministry in several ways. By preparing professional and lay leaders for the church, Concordia works to ensure that our congregations have strong leaders in the future.
Individuals learn to live a Christ-centered life that prepares them to live out their Christian calling in home, job, community, and congregation. Finally Concordia University provides a place to explore new avenues of ministry, allowing all students but especially professional church workers to learn more in areas such as urban ministry, effective church recruitment, or diversity in the congregation.
