Traditional Undergraduate Timeline

The following is a general timeline in applying for financial aid for students who are enrolling in a traditional day program. Students who are enrolling in a cohort model program should contact financial aid directly about the timeline they should follow.

October/November: Apply for admission to Concordia and visit campus during an open house date.
December: Finalize the admission process.
January: Start working on the FAFSA by getting two PINs (one for the student and one for the parent). http://www.pin.ed.gov
February: Once your tax return has been completed, go on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov and complete the FAFSA. Send the completed FAFSA to the processor, indicating that you wish the results sent to Concordia University, St. Paul by using Concordia's code of 002347.
March: Students who have completed the financial aid application process will begin to receive awards by the end of the month. Be sure to respond quickly to any requests for any additional information from the financial aid office.
May 1: Deadline for academic scholarships, for most merit scholarships, and for full consideration of need-based aid.
June and July: If you are taking out a student loan, now is the time to begin processing the forms. Students may choose to borrow through their own banks or through one of several banks that serve Concordia students.
