ToscaEmphasis: Early Childhood Education MA
"I wanted to reach another level of education."
"I'd been an early childhood educator for a decade and wanted to challenge myself with graduate work specific to my field, to enhance my work and bring validity to my professional status. I liked the idea of challenging myself, plus I wanted M.A. Ed. after my name!"
As a mother of three children who works full-time and has an equally busy husband, the fact that she was able to work on her MA through an on-line course structure was invaluable.
"The convenience of not having to attend class somewhere else makes it more convenient and less stressful. I'm able to schedule much of the work around my family's needs. If I had to attend more classes I wouldn't have pursued more schooling at this time."
With her degree almost completed, Tosca has already seen what a master's degree can mean for her. Her professional life has grown since she started the program at Concordia and she has a new position because of her graduate work.
"Because the classes are in a cohort model, my new employer has no doubts that I'll finish the work and complete my degree." Her degree is important at home, too. "I love being a positive model of a lifelong learner for my children!"
