JamesMajor: Kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise science, BA
"There aren't too many schools where you can say that the Fine Arts and Athletic Departments get along."
As a Concordia University student and football player, James walked the line between sports and a classroom education. Both taught him some important things.
Athletics was the cornerstone of his time as a Concordia student.
"The football staff is passionate about teaching students that want to learn. I also benefited by meeting new people and friends every year."
But education goes beyond the football field.
"The professors show concern and care for the students. There is great support between 'arts and athletics.' That can be unusual at a university."
James wanted to attend Concordia because it is a NCAA Division II school. His parents liked the university because of its Christian foundation."
Christianity and religion are things in my life that are irreplaceable. Concordia only validates the things which I learned in my early life."
Athletics at Concordia University is founded on the belief that participation in sports strengthens students physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. As a student-athlete, James embodies all of these elements.
