"Concordia made it easy for me to return to school."

With an AA already in hand, Alex was in search of a clear course structure when he decided it was time to finish up his bachelor's degree.

"The marketing management program laid it all out for me - the classes, instructors, dates, times, books, cost and the amount of time it would take to finish school. Although there were many features that solidified my decision to come to Concordia, I'd say it was having all of the classes laid out for me that was the biggest factor."

While he spends time outside of class studying and preparing, a busy schedule as a realtor meant that one night a week was all he could dedicate to being in class. His continuing education is paying dividends in his work.

He says, "Being in school again has helped bring back out my creative side, it's improved my writing, and I can say that I learn something new every week."

Alex recognizes that learning in a cohort model can have many advantages. One of them is having the same classmates for 18 months. "We're able to work together and we don't have to constantly be going through the initial stage of learning each other's comfort zones. We're past that so we now can all receive the best education possible."
